The Moody Blues are an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1964. The band's original lineup consisted of guitarist and vocalist Denny Laine, drummer Graeme Edge, bassist Clint Warwick, keyboardist Mike Pinder, and Ray Thomas on vocals and flute. However, their most successful lineup came together in 1966 when vocalist and guitarist Justin Hayward and bassist John Lodge joined the band.
The Moody Blues are known for their fusion of rock with classical music and symphonic sounds, creating a unique and innovative sound. They achieved commercial success with their concept albums such as "Days of Future Passed" and hits like "Nights in White Satin" and "Question." The band has sold over 70 million records worldwide and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
