The Moody Blues are an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1964. The band's original lineup consisted of keyboardist Mike Pinder, bassist Ray Thomas, drummer Graeme Edge, guitarist Denny Laine, and vocalist and guitarist Clint Warwick. They are known for their fusion of rock with classical music, psychedelic rock, and progressive rock elements.
The Moody Blues achieved commercial success with their second album, "Days of Future Passed," which featured their signature song "Nights in White Satin." The band continued to release successful albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including "In Search of the Lost Chord" and "Long Distance Voyager." The Moody Blues were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018 in recognition of their influence and impact on the rock music genre.
