Artist Bio:
The Motors were a British rock band formed in London in 1977. The band's original lineup consisted of Nick Garvey (vocals, guitar), Andy McMaster (vocals, bass), Ricky Slaughter (keyboards), and drummer Rob Hendry. They are best known for their hit single "Airport," which reached number 4 on the UK Singles Chart in 1978. The band's music is often classified as new wave and power pop, with catchy melodies and energetic guitar riffs.

The Motors released three studio albums during their career: "1" (1977), "Approved by the Motors" (1978), and "Tenement Steps" (1980). Despite their success with "Airport," the band struggled to achieve consistent commercial success and disbanded in 1981. The Motors' music has since gained a cult following, particularly among fans of 1970s and 1980s rock music.
