The Murmurs were an American pop duo formed in 1991 by musicians Heather Grody and Leisha Hailey. They gained popularity in the mid-1990s with their harmonious vocals and catchy melodies. The duo released their debut album, self-titled "The Murmurs," in 1994, followed by "Prairie Dog" in 1998.
Their music was known for its folk-pop sound and introspective lyrics. The Murmurs toured extensively and gained a loyal fan base during their career. In 2001, Heather Grody left the duo and was replaced by Sherri Solinger. The duo then changed their name to Gush. Leisha Hailey went on to pursue a successful acting career, appearing in TV shows like "The L Word." The Murmurs' music continues to be remembered for its unique sound and contribution to the 1990s music scene.
