The Music Explosion was an American garage rock band formed in Mansfield, Ohio in 1966. Their most famous and successful song is "Little Bit O' Soul," released in 1967. The single reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was certified gold by the RIAA. The band was known for their energetic live performances and catchy, upbeat tunes that epitomized the garage rock sound of the 1960s.
Despite their initial success with "Little Bit O' Soul," The Music Explosion was unable to replicate the same level of commercial achievement with their subsequent releases. The band eventually disbanded in the early 1970s.
