The New Seekers are a British pop group formed in 1969 by Keith Potger after the disbandment of his previous group, The Seekers. The group achieved commercial success with their hit single "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)" in 1971, which became a global anthem for unity and peace. The song reached the top of the charts in multiple countries and sold over 7 million copies worldwide.
The New Seekers continued to release successful singles throughout the 1970s, including "Beg, Steal or Borrow" and "You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me." They also represented the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1972, finishing in second place with the song "Beg, Steal or Borrow." The group went through various lineup changes over the years but continued to perform and record music, maintaining a loyal fan base.
