Artist Bio:
The Newbeats were an American pop group formed in the early 1960s consisting of brothers Dean and Mark Mathis, and Larry Henley. They are best known for their hit songs "Bread and Butter" and "Run Baby Run (Back Into My Arms)", both of which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1964. "Bread and Butter" in particular became a signature song for the group and has been featured in various movies, TV shows, and commercials over the years.
The Newbeats were known for their catchy, upbeat sound and harmonies, and they continued to release music throughout the 1960s. While they never quite replicated the success of their early hits, they remained popular on the nostalgia circuit and continued to perform live shows until the early 2000s. The Newbeats' music continues to be celebrated by fans of 1960s pop music for its infectious energy and memorable melodies.
