Artist Bio:
The Newbeats were an American pop group formed in the early 1960s. The group consisted of brothers Dean and Mark Mathis, as well as Larry Henley. They are best known for their hit songs, including "Bread and Butter" and "Run Baby Run (Back Into My Arms)." "Bread and Butter" was their biggest hit, reaching number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1964. The song was also a top 10 hit in the UK. The Newbeats were known for their catchy, upbeat sound and tight harmonies, which helped them stand out in the crowded pop music scene of the 1960s.
Although The Newbeats never reached the same level of success as some of their contemporaries, they still left a mark on the music industry with their memorable hits. The group continued to record and perform throughout the 1960s and into the early 1970s, before disbanding. They may not have achieved long-lasting fame, but their music remains popular among fans of 1960s pop music.
