Artist Bio:
The Newbeats were an American pop group formed in the 1960s, consisting of brothers Dean and Mark Mathis along with Larry Henley. They are best known for their hit songs "Bread and Butter" and "Run Baby Run (Back Into My Arms)" which both reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1964. The group was signed to Hickory Records and achieved mainstream success with their catchy, upbeat tunes.

Despite their initial success, The Newbeats struggled to replicate the same level of commercial achievement with their subsequent releases. They continued to record music throughout the 1960s and early 1970s, but were unable to match the success of their earlier hits. The Newbeats ultimately disbanded in the mid-1970s, leaving behind a legacy of fun and catchy pop songs that continue to be enjoyed by fans of 1960s music.
