The Offspring is an American punk rock band formed in 1984 in Garden Grove, California. The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Dexter Holland, lead guitarist Kevin "Noodles" Wasserman, bassist Todd Morse, and drummer Pete Parada. Known for their energetic live performances and catchy, anthemic songs, The Offspring rose to fame in the 1990s with hits like "Self Esteem" and "Come Out and Play."
Over the years, The Offspring has maintained their punk rock roots while also incorporating elements of pop and alternative rock into their music. With a career spanning several decades, the band has released numerous successful albums and singles, including "Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)" and "The Kids Aren't Alright." "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid" from their album "Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace" became a standout track for the band, peaking at #63 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2009.
