Artist Bio:
The Originals were an American vocal group formed in the 1960s. The group originally consisted of Freddie Gorman, Walter Gaines, C.P. Spencer, Hank Dixon, and Joe Stubbs. They were signed to Motown Records and had their biggest hit in 1969 with the song "Baby, I'm for Real," which reached number one on the R&B charts and number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The Originals continued to release music throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, but they never achieved the same level of success as they did with "Baby, I'm for Real." The group underwent several lineup changes over the years, with different members coming and going. Despite not reaching the same heights of commercial success, The Originals are still remembered for their contributions to the soul and R&B music scene during their time.
