Artist Bio:
The Originals were an American R&B group formed in the late 1960s. The group consisted of Freddie Gorman, Walter Gaines, C.P. Spencer, Hank Dixon, and Joe Stubbs. They were signed to Motown Records and gained popularity for their soulful harmonies and smooth vocal performances.
One of their most well-known songs is "Baby, I'm For Real," which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1969. The group continued to release music throughout the 1970s, but they never achieved the same level of commercial success as some of their Motown labelmates. Despite this, The Originals are remembered as pioneers of the Motown sound and their music continues to be celebrated by R&B and soul music fans.
