The Overlanders were a British pop music group active in the 1960s. The group was formed in 1963 and consisted of three members: Peter Bartholomew, Paul Arnold, and Laurie Mason. They are best known for their cover version of the song "Michelle" by The Beatles, which reached number 1 in the UK Singles Chart in 1966.


The Overlanders released several singles during their career, with some achieving moderate success in the UK charts. In addition to "Michelle," their other notable songs include "Summer Skies and Golden Sands" and "Call of the Wild." The group disbanded in the late 1960s, with the members pursuing separate musical endeavors.
