The Paradons were an American doo-wop vocal group from San Bernardino, California. The group was formed in the early 1960s and consisted of members Carl Green, Willie Otis Perry, Lonzine Wright, and Willie Schofield. They are best known for their hit song "Diamonds and Pearls," which was released in 1960 and reached number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Despite their brief commercial success, The Paradons are considered a one-hit wonder in the doo-wop genre. The group disbanded in the mid-1960s, but their music continues to be appreciated by fans of doo-wop and oldies music. "Diamonds and Pearls" remains a popular track on oldies radio stations and compilation albums.
