The Parliaments were an American funk band formed in the late 1950s in Plainfield, New Jersey. The Parliaments are considered pioneers of the funk music genre and are known for their energetic live performances and eclectic musical style.

The Parliaments achieved commercial success in the 1960s with hits such as "I Wanna Testify" and "All Your Goodies Are Gone."
