Artist Bio:
The Peels were an American rock band from New York City formed in the mid-1960s. The band consisted of three members: David Budge (vocals, guitar), Loring Park (bass), and Todd McKinney (drums). They were known for their energetic live performances and catchy pop-rock songs that were influenced by the British Invasion sound of the time.
The Peels released only one single during their brief career, "Juanita Banana" in 1966, which became their most well-known song. The single received moderate success and airplay on radio stations, but the band ultimately disbanded shortly after its release. Despite their short-lived career, The Peels left a mark on the 1960s music scene with their infectious melodies and tight musicianship.
