The Platters are best known for their hits such as "Only You," "The Great Pretender," and "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes." They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and were one of the first groups to be inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame.
