Artist Bio:
The Playboys were a British rock and roll band formed in Liverpool in the late 1950s. The band was originally known as The Quarrymen and was fronted by John Lennon before he left to form The Beatles. The Playboys gained popularity in the early 1960s, playing regularly at The Cavern Club, alongside other famous Liverpool bands of the time.

The Playboys released several singles, including "What a Love" and "Sad". While they never achieved the same level of success as The Beatles or other Merseybeat bands, The Playboys were an important part of the Liverpool music scene during the early 1960s. The band eventually disbanded in the mid-1960s, but they are remembered for their contribution to the vibrant music scene of the era.
