Artist Bio:
The Playmates were an American pop vocal group formed in 1952. The original members were Donny Conn (lead singer and guitarist), Morey Carr (acoustic bass), and Chic Hetti (drums). They are best known for their hit single "Beep Beep," which reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1958. The song humorously tells the story of a car race between a Cadillac and a Nash Rambler.

The Playmates continued to release music throughout the 1960s, with some moderate success on the charts. They also made appearances on popular television shows such as American Bandstand. The group eventually disbanded in the late 1960s, but their catchy tunes and playful lyrics continue to be enjoyed by fans of doo-wop and 1950s pop music.
