The Playmates were an American pop vocal group consisting of three members: Donny Conn, Morey Carr, and Chic Hetti. They formed in 1958 in Waterbury, Connecticut, and became known for their harmonious vocal arrangements and comedic lyrics. The group achieved their greatest success with their hit single "Beep Beep" in 1958, which reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The Playmates continued to release music throughout the 1960s, with other notable songs including "What Is Love?" and "Jo-Ann."
