Artist Bio:
The Playmates were an American pop vocal group formed in 1958. The group consisted of Donny Conn, Morey Carr, and Chic Hetti. They are best known for their hit single "Beep Beep," which reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1958. The song featured playful and humorous lyrics about a race between a Cadillac and a little Nash Rambler.
The Playmates continued to release music throughout the 1960s, but they never achieved the same level of success as they did with "Beep Beep." Despite this, the group remained active for several years, performing on television and in live shows. The Playmates' catchy tunes and lighthearted style made them a popular act during the late 1950s and early 1960s.
