The Plimsouls were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1978. The band's sound was a combination of power pop, jangle pop, and new wave, characterized by catchy melodies and energetic guitar-driven songs. The original lineup consisted of Peter Case on vocals and guitar, Eddie Muñoz on guitar, David Pahoa on bass, and Louie Ramírez on drums.
The Plimsouls gained popularity in the Los Angeles music scene and released their debut self-titled album in 1981. The album featured their most well-known song, "A Million Miles Away," which became a college radio hit. The band also gained national attention when they were featured in the 1983 film "Valley Girl," performing their song "Everywhere at Once." The Plimsouls disbanded in 1983, but they left a lasting impact on the power pop and new wave music genres.
