The Pointer Sisters are an American R&B singing group consisting of siblings Ruth, Anita, Bonnie, and June Pointer. They began their career in the early 1970s and achieved commercial success in the 1980s with their energetic and eclectic blend of pop, R&B, and disco music. The group is known for hits such as "I'm So Excited," "Jump (For My Love)," and "Automatic," which helped them earn three Grammy Awards.

The Pointer Sisters have released several albums throughout their career and have been praised for their tight harmonies, dynamic stage presence, and versatility in musical styles. They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2005 and continue to perform and tour, with Ruth being the only original member still actively involved in the group.
