The Rascals, also known as The Young Rascals, were an American rock band formed in 1965 in New York City. The original members included Felix Cavaliere on vocals and keyboards, Eddie Brigati on vocals, Gene Cornish on guitar, and Dino Danelli on drums. They were known for their blue-eyed soul sound, blending elements of R&B, rock, and pop music.
The Rascals achieved mainstream success in the mid-1960s with hits such as "Good Lovin'," "Groovin'," and "People Got to Be Free." They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 and are considered one of the most influential bands of the era. The Rascals disbanded in 1972 but reunited briefly in the 1990s for a series of concerts.
