The Rascals were an American rock band formed in 1965 in New York City. The original members included Felix Cavaliere on vocals and keyboards, Eddie Brigati on vocals, Gene Cornish on guitar, and Dino Danelli on drums. The band was known for their blue-eyed soul sound, combining elements of rock, R&B, and pop music. They achieved mainstream success in the mid-1960s with hits such as "Good Lovin'," "Groovin'," and "People Got to Be Free."


The Rascals were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. They disbanded in 1972 but reunited in the late 1990s for a series of concerts. The band's music continues to be celebrated for its infectious energy and soulful melodies, making The Rascals an influential group in the history of rock and roll.
