The original lineup consisted of Achim Reichel on guitar and vocals, Herbert Hildebrandt on bass, Bernd Schulz on drums, and Frank Dostal on vocals.
The Rattles achieved commercial success in the 1960s and 1970s with hits like "The Witch" and "Geraldine". They were known for their energetic live performances and catchy songs that often had a raw and gritty sound. Over the years, the band went through several lineup changes and musical transformations, but they continued to perform and record music, gaining a loyal fan base in Germany and beyond.
