Artist Bio:
The Rays were an American R&B group formed in New York City in 1955. The group consisted of Harold Miller, Walter Ford, and David Jones. They are best known for their hit song "Silhouettes," which was released in 1957 and reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has since become a doo-wop classic and has been covered by various artists over the years.
The Rays released several other singles in the late 1950s, including "Magic Moon" and "Rendezvous," but none were able to match the success of "Silhouettes." The group disbanded in the early 1960s, but their music continues to be celebrated by fans of doo-wop and R&B music.
