Artist Bio

Artist Bio:
The Rays were an American doo-wop group formed in New York City in 1955. The original members included Harold Miller, Walter Ford, and David Jones. They are best known for their hit song "Silhouettes," which peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1957. The song was later covered by numerous artists, including The Diamonds and Herman's Hermits. The Rays released several other singles, but none achieved the same level of commercial success as "Silhouettes."

Despite their brief commercial success, The Rays disbanded in the early 1960s. However, "Silhouettes" remains a classic doo-wop song and has been featured in various films, television shows, and commercials over the years. The Rays' contribution to the doo-wop genre continues to be celebrated by fans of 1950s music.
