Artist Bio:
The Records were a British power pop band formed in 1978. The band was comprised of John Wicks on vocals and rhythm guitar, Will Birch on drums, Huw Gower on lead guitar, and Phil Brown on bass. They released their debut album, "Shades in Bed," in 1979, which included their most well-known single, "Starry Eyes."

The Records gained popularity in the late 1970s and early 1980s with their catchy melodies and jangly guitar sound. Despite critical acclaim, the band struggled to achieve commercial success and disbanded in 1982. However, their music has since gained a cult following, especially among power pop enthusiasts, and their songs continue to be featured on compilations and playlists celebrating the genre.
