Artist Bio:
The Reddings were an American band formed in 1979 by brothers Otis and Mark Lockett, sons of legendary musician Otis Redding. The band's name was a tribute to their father and their music was a fusion of funk, soul, and R&B. The Reddings released three albums between 1980 and 1982, with their self-titled debut album featuring the hit single "Remote Control." The band's sound was characterized by tight grooves, horn sections, and catchy melodies, reminiscent of the funk music popular during the 1980s.

Despite achieving some commercial success with their music, The Reddings disbanded in 1982 after releasing their third album, "Class." Otis and Mark Lockett continued to pursue music individually after the band's dissolution. The Reddings left a legacy as part of the funk music scene of the 1980s and are remembered for their contribution to keeping the spirit of their father's music alive through their own unique sound.
