Artist Bio:
The Regents were an American doo-wop vocal group formed in the late 1950s in New York City. The group consisted of Guy Villari, Sal Cuomo, Chuck Fassert, Don Jacobucci, and Tony Gravagna. They are best known for their hit song "Barbara-Ann," released in 1961. The song reached number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has since become a classic in the doo-wop genre.
Despite their initial success with "Barbara-Ann," The Regents were unable to replicate the same level of commercial success with their subsequent releases. The group eventually disbanded in the mid-1960s, but their hit song continues to be a popular choice for oldies radio stations and has been covered by various artists over the years, including The Beach Boys.
