Artist Bio:
The Rentals is an American rock band formed in 1995 by Matt Sharp, who was previously the bassist for the alternative rock band Weezer. The band's music is characterized by a mix of new wave, power pop, and alternative rock influences, with catchy melodies and layered harmonies. The Rentals released their debut album, "Return of the Rentals," in 1995, which featured the hit single "Friends of P." The band's lineup has changed over the years, with Matt Sharp being the only consistent member.

After a hiatus in the early 2000s, The Rentals returned with new music in 2006 and have continued to release albums and EPs since then. Some of their notable releases include "Seven More Minutes" (1999), "Lost in Alphaville" (2014), and "Q36" (2020). The Rentals have toured extensively and have gained a dedicated following for their unique sound and energetic live performances.
