The Rings were a British rock band formed in London in 1963. The group consisted of singer and guitarist Chris Sandford, bassist Pete Thorpe, drummer Roger Becket, and keyboardist David Griffiths. They were known for their energetic live performances and catchy melodies.
The Rings released their debut single, "I Wanna Be Free," in 1964, followed by their self-titled album in 1965. Despite gaining a following in the UK, the band struggled to achieve mainstream success and eventually disbanded in 1966. Despite their relatively short career, The Rings left a lasting impact on the British rock scene of the 1960s.
