Artist Bio:
The Rip Chords were an American pop and rock group formed in 1962. The band was a studio creation, consisting of the duo Bruce Johnston and Terry Melcher. They are best known for their hit single "Hey Little Cobra," which peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1964. The song's success led to the release of their debut album of the same name, which reached number 56 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Despite their initial success, The Rip Chords struggled to maintain their momentum and disbanded in 1967. Bruce Johnston went on to join The Beach Boys as a touring member and eventually became a full-time member of the band. The Rip Chords' music continues to be celebrated for its catchy surf rock sound and nostalgic appeal.
