Artist Bio:
The Rivieras were an American rock band formed in South Bend, Indiana in 1962. They are best known for their hit song "California Sun," which was released in 1964 and reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has since become a classic of the surf rock genre and has been covered by numerous artists.

The band's lineup consisted of Marty Fortson, Doug Gean, Otto Nuss, and Paul Dennert. They released several singles and albums throughout the 1960s, but "California Sun" remains their most popular and enduring song. The Rivieras' music is characterized by its upbeat tempo, catchy melodies, and surf rock influences. Although they never achieved the same level of success as some of their contemporaries, The Rivieras left a lasting impact on the music scene of the 1960s.
