Artist Bio:
The Ronettes were an American girl group formed in 1957 by sisters Veronica "Ronnie" and Estelle Bennett, along with their cousin Nedra Talley. The group is best known for their hit songs such as "Be My Baby" and "Walking in the Rain." Their music was characterized by Ronnie Spector's powerful and soulful vocals, Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound" production technique, and their glamorous image.
In 1963, the group released their debut album, "Presenting the Fabulous Ronettes Featuring Veronica," which included their most popular hits. Despite their success, internal tensions and conflicts with producer Phil Spector led to the group's disbandment in 1967. The Ronettes were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007, recognizing their significant contributions to the music industry.
