Artist Bio:
The Roommates were an American doo-wop and R&B vocal group formed in the late 1950s. The group originally consisted of five members: Therman "Sonny" Trammell, Charles "Chub" Campbell, Donald King, and two others who were later replaced. They are best known for their hit song "Gee" which was released in 1958 and reached number 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The Roommates were signed to the Gee record label, which was founded by record producer George Goldner.

Despite their initial success with "Gee," The Roommates were unable to replicate the same level of commercial success with their subsequent releases. The group disbanded in the early 1960s after releasing several singles. The Roommates' music, characterized by their tight harmonies and doo-wop style, continues to be appreciated by fans of the genre.
