Artist Bio:
The Royal Guardsmen are an American rock band formed in 1966 in Ocala, Florida. They are best known for their hit song "Snoopy vs. the Red Baron," which reached the number two spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1966. The song was inspired by the Peanuts comic strip character Snoopy's imaginary battles against the Red Baron during World War I.
The band continued to release music throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s, with several other songs inspired by Snoopy and the Peanuts characters. Despite not achieving the same level of commercial success as their debut hit, The Royal Guardsmen remain popular with fans of 1960s rock music and are considered a one-hit wonder for their iconic song "Snoopy vs. the Red Baron."
