Artist Bio:
The Royal Guardsmen were an American rock band formed in 1966 in Ocala, Florida. They are best known for their hit song "Snoopy vs. the Red Baron," which reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1966. The song was inspired by Charles Schulz's Peanuts comic strip and featured lyrics about the imaginary World War I aerial battles between Snoopy and the Red Baron.

The Royal Guardsmen released several more songs inspired by the Snoopy and Peanuts characters, including "Snoopy's Christmas" and "The Return of the Red Baron." While they never achieved the same level of success as their initial hit, The Royal Guardsmen continued to perform and release music throughout the 1960s and 1970s.
