Artist Bio:
The Royal Guardsmen were an American rock band known for their association with the song "Snoopy vs. the Red Baron," released in 1966. The band was formed in Florida in 1966 and consisted of members Barry Winslow, Chris Nunley, Tom Richards, Bill Balough, and John Burdett. The song "Snoopy vs. the Red Baron" was a hit, reaching number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and selling over one million copies.

The Royal Guardsmen continued to release songs inspired by the Peanuts comic strip characters, including "Snoopy's Christmas" and "The Return of the Red Baron." While they never replicated the success of their initial hit, the band remained active throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s before disbanding. The Royal Guardsmen's music is often associated with the novelty genre and their songs remain popular with fans of 1960s rock music.
