The Royaltones were an American instrumental rock band formed in 1957 in Detroit, Michigan. The band was composed of four members: George Katsakis on lead guitar, Mike Katsakis on rhythm guitar, Larry Vecchio on bass guitar, and Larry Tamblyn on drums. The Royaltones gained popularity in the late 1950s and early 1960s for their energetic and catchy instrumental rock music.


Their most well-known song is "Poor Boy", which was released in 1958 and reached number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The Royaltones were also known for their performances on the television show American Bandstand. Despite their brief period of success, the band eventually disbanded in the early 1960s. Their music continues to be appreciated by fans of instrumental rock and rockabilly music.
