The Sandpebbles were an American soul group formed in Detroit, Michigan in the 1960s. The group consisted of three members: Jack Ashford, Mike Terry, and Ed Pazant. They were signed to the Calla record label and released their debut album, "The Sandpebbles," in 1968. The album featured their hit single "Love Power," which reached #22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Despite their initial success, The Sandpebbles disbanded in the early 1970s. Jack Ashford went on to have a successful career as a musician and producer, working with artists such as The Supremes and Marvin Gaye. The Sandpebbles' music continues to be celebrated by soul music enthusiasts and collectors for its unique sound and infectious grooves.
