Artist Bio:
The Sandpebbles were a soul and R&B group formed in Detroit, Michigan in the mid-1960s. The group consisted of siblings Sterling, Antoinette, and Annette Miles, as well as their cousin, Billy Roquel Davis. They were signed to the Calla Records label and released their debut single, "Love Power," in 1967. The song reached number 14 on the Billboard R&B chart and number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Their follow-up single, "Because of Love," also performed well on the charts, reaching number 15 on the R&B chart and number 49 on the Hot 100 chart. The Sandpebbles continued to release music throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s, but they never achieved the same level of commercial success as their early hits. Despite this, they are remembered as a talented soul group that made a lasting impact on the music scene of the era.
