Artist Bio:
The Searchers were a British rock band formed in 1962. They were part of the Merseybeat music scene along with bands like The Beatles and The Hollies. The original lineup consisted of members John McNally, Mike Pender, Tony Jackson, and Chris Curtis. They achieved fame with their cover of the song "Sweets for My Sweet" in 1963, which reached the top of the UK charts.

The Searchers were known for their jangly guitar sound and close harmonies. They had a string of hits in the 1960s including "Needles and Pins," "Don't Throw Your Love Away," and "Sugar and Spice." The band continued to perform and record music throughout the decades, with various lineup changes, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.
