The Seeds were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965. The band's original lineup consisted of vocalist Sky Saxon, keyboardist Daryl Hooper, guitarist Jan Savage, drummer Rick Andridge, and bassist Harvey Sharpe. They were known for their raw and energetic garage rock sound, which was influenced by bands like The Kinks and The Rolling Stones.


The Seeds achieved commercial success with their hit single "Pushin' Too Hard" in 1966, which reached the Billboard Hot 100 chart. They released several albums throughout the 1960s, including their self-titled debut album in 1966 and "Future" in 1967. The band was known for their psychedelic and experimental music, and they were considered pioneers of the garage rock and psychedelic rock genres. The Seeds disbanded in the early 1970s, but their music continues to be influential in the rock music scene.
