The Seeds were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965. The band's original lineup consisted of vocalist Sky Saxon, guitarist Jan Savage, keyboardist Daryl Hooper, and drummer Rick Andridge. They are best known for their hit single "Pushin' Too Hard," which reached number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1967. The Seeds were part of the garage rock and psychedelic rock movements of the 1960s and are considered one of the pioneers of the garage rock genre.

The band released a total of five studio albums between 1966 and 1970, including their self-titled debut album which featured their most popular song "Pushin' Too Hard." Despite never achieving mainstream success, The Seeds are highly regarded for their raw and energetic sound that influenced many bands in the garage rock and punk rock scenes. The band disbanded in 1969, but their music continues to be celebrated by fans of 1960s rock music.
