The Seeds were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, California. The band's lineup consisted of vocalist Sky Saxon, guitarist Jan Savage, keyboardist Daryl Hooper, drummer Rick Andridge, and bassist Harvey Sharpe. They are best known for their hit single "Pushin' Too Hard," which reached number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1967.


The Seeds were part of the garage rock and psychedelic rock scenes of the 1960s, and their music was characterized by a raw, energetic sound and Saxon's distinctive vocal style. They released a total of five studio albums between 1966 and 1969, with their self-titled debut album being the most successful. The Seeds are considered influential in the development of garage rock and punk rock music, and their music continues to be celebrated by fans of 1960s rock.
