The Seekers are an Australian folk-influenced pop music group formed in Melbourne in 1962. The original lineup consisted of Judith Durham (vocals, piano), Athol Guy (double bass, vocals), Keith Potger (guitar, vocals), and Bruce Woodley (guitar, vocals). Their music is characterized by close harmonies and a blend of folk and pop influences.
The Seekers achieved international success in the 1960s with hits such as "Georgy Girl," "I'll Never Find Another You," and "A World of Our Own." They were one of the first Australian acts to achieve success in both the UK and the US music charts. The group disbanded in 1968 but reunited in the 1990s for special events and tours. The Seekers were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 1995 and have sold over 50 million records worldwide.
