Artist Bio:
The Shades of Blue were an American R&B vocal group formed in 1965 in Detroit, Michigan. The group consisted of members George Cox, Nick Marinelli, Linda Allen, and Bob Kerr. Their most well-known song is "Oh How Happy," released in 1966, which reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was also a hit in the UK, reaching the top 40 on the UK Singles Chart. The Shades of Blue continued to release music throughout the late 1960s but did not achieve the same level of commercial success as their debut single. Despite their relatively short-lived career, The Shades of Blue left a lasting impact on the R&B music scene of the 1960s.
