Artist Bio:
The Shells were an American doo-wop group formed in Brooklyn, New York, in 1957. The group consisted of lead vocalist Randy "Nowell" Taylor, tenor Bobby Nurse, baritone Danny Small, and bass Bobby A. Nurse. They are best known for their hit single "Baby Oh Baby," which was released in 1957 and reached number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has since become a doo-wop classic and is still popular among fans of the genre.

Despite their initial success with "Baby Oh Baby," The Shells struggled to replicate the same level of commercial success with subsequent releases. The group disbanded in the early 1960s, but their music continues to be celebrated by doo-wop enthusiasts and collectors. The Shells' legacy lives on through their contributions to the doo-wop genre and their enduring impact on the music industry.
